UBC Parking 4:24 PM
I've found a much cheaper place to park for short term in UBC...... It's $1/hr from 7am-5pm and $3 flat-rate after 5pm. Comparing to $4 flat-rate, it's much cheaper especially if you only planning to go to school to simply write a 1 hr midterm or something.

It's right beside B5-lot across the road. It's call Winter Sport Lot.

Reading Break x Software Development 0:26 AM
Last week was the reading break, i spent one day down at Seattle and other than that, the whole break is pure software development week and school projects.

I started developing the software from the first day of the break. It's been 12 days since and i'm only half way through =( hope i can finished this thing within the next 2 weeks. *pain~* and there are lots of school works too *sigh~*

This is the first time i work on a larger scale web-app software for real company... Other than limited time and being one-man-band, I consider this experience fun and challenging.

One thing i learn..........

Putting all the screens for the software system onto one big screen. It is much easier to test, run and see if the system generates the correct result. o, btw, if you think this is too tiny, I have another one with twice as much screens fit into 1 window as this one.

Prototype 8:04 PM
A low-fidelity prototype interface for my CS Interface Design group project. The first idea is just to see how much stuff we can squeeze into a 800x600 screen, so we cut and paste from different programs into the screen. It turned out so well that we actually going to hand this in (we were planning to use pen and paper to sketch). =p

Try guess where all the components came from if you can.

It looks really cool isn't it? Only took me 5 minutes to taped all these components together (and amazingly, even faster than sketching).

I realized i have been driving a lot lately. I even drive to school almost everyday when I have classes or meetings at school (i used to just bus to school). Have been pouring money unto ubc parking and gas station (and gas price staill up high -_-").

Not good not good... But driving really does save me a lot of time though.

the update frequency on this section have been increased dramatically in the last couple of weeks....... not a good sign... that usually means i'm in stress and finding some place for escape.

It's really discouraging to find myself in a situation where works are forever never finishable. Works just come "two" after another. I am now being forced to use a "quota" system to ensure I won't work too much and not able to rest. *sigh~* I used to strive to finish everything before, but now......... o well, i guess that's life, what can I say?

Since i'm having all these meetings going on everyweek in school, and most of the time i have to wait for an hour or two before the meetings happens, i decided it would be a good idea to equip my laptop with wireless LAN internet access so I can work when i'm waiting.

New Term Strategy 11:40 PM
My new strategy for this term is
1. skip as many class as possible
2. do assignments in as less time as possible
3. do as many educated guess for my assignments as possible without any reading
4. get as much sleep as i can possible
5. stay out of school as much as possible
6. maximize work while minimize brain juice consumption rate
7. don't worry, be happy =D

I can't believe how many discussion boards i have to check daily (multiple times during the day) for all my courses. Let me count... total 6 discussion boards and many new posts / day / board too.... used up so much of my time. They're killing me.

recently installed firefox, and just realized my site is not fully firefox compatible.

Firefox has a simpler interface than IE, but it's slower than IE.
Firefox is faster than Opera, but it has less functions.
errrr....... and forget about regular mozilla and netscape. They are totally out.

this term's challenge is time planning.... I'm running a 19 cred workload and a software eng project that gonna be dealing with real-world business client. Gonna be lots of work and meeting. So ya, fitting everything into my tiny daily schedule is gonna be like a puzzle.

school is starting again tomorrow... and it feel like that the christmas holiday is just started a few days ago. Maybe it's because my last exam is on the last day of the exam period, which makes my christmas holiday so short.
